This abstract sunrise/sunset is a calming, modern design, and a perfect accent piece for any room in the house. It is a geometric depiction of a sun rising or setting, and is made from natural and painted mahogany. It is laser cut, then hand-painted, and assembled with care.

The top layer is 1/4 inch mahogany, which gives it a nice wood grain texture. The sun rays are hand painted with a blue-gray color palette, giving it a classic yet rustic look. It is mounted on another layer of 1/4 poplar, making the piece look and feel substantial.

It has a 1/2 inch backing so it floats slightly off the wall, giving it a nice dimensional look. The backing has a built-in hanger as well, so all you need is a nail or screw to get it on the wall!
